Microsoft Game Studios today announced the “Gears of War” Emergence Day (aka released date) will not be in early October as retailers had been advertising. Instead, Gears will bow on Xbox 360 November 12, a mere five days before Playstation 3 creates lines around retailers nationwide. Coincidence? I think not.
“Gears of War” will be available in two flavors; a standard edition for $59.99 and a limited collector’s edition for $69.99. The latter will include “an even deeper look into the graphically stunning and frightening world of “Gears of War,” providing an official “Destroyed Beauty” art book and a bonus DVD featuring an inside look at the making of the game ” all enclosed in a highly collectible metal box.”
If you haven’t pre-ordered your copy of Gears yet and want to play November 12, I highly recommend you get your butt and wallet into gear… literally.
