Electronic Arts has announced their new intellectual property ‘Skate,’ designed to compete directly against Activision’s ‘Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground,’ will arrive in stores September 12 on Xbox 360, and September 24 on Playstation 3.
The opportunity to take ‘Skate’ for a spin will come much sooner, though. A free, playable demo is set to be unleashed on the Xbox Live Marketplace on August 15, less than two weeks from now. The demo is not expected to appear on the Playstation Network before the game’s release.
In the demo, players will have access to tutorials and gameplay introducing Flickit, ‘Skate’s’ control scheme, and skate.reel, which allows gamers to capture their moves and share them online at www.skate.ea.com.
