Lionsgate was kind enough to send over high resolution images of their first Blu-ray Disc release wave that was recently moved back to June 27. This wave includes “Crash,” “Lord of War,” “The Punisher,” “Saw” and “Terminator 2: Judgement Day.” The artwork is exactly the same as what we’ve already seen on their respective DVD releases with an additional small “1080P Beyond High Definition HD Audio” banner across the bottom. Screw artwork; the anticipation of T2 in 1080p is what’s worth getting excited over.
We’ve also gotten ahold of SRP pricing which is as follows: “Crash” ($39.99), “Lord of War” ($39.99), “The Punisher” ($29.99), “Saw” ($29.99) and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” ($29.99). The second wave of Lionsgate Blu-ray releases should be locked into a July release date sometime next week or the week after.
