November 23, 2009

Universal Studios Home Entertainment is bringing another former HD DVD high-def exclusive to Blu-ray with the release of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas on February 2.

Terry Gilliam's bizarre yet entertaining film starring Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro comes to Blu-ray in 2.35:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. New to the film is D-BOX Motion Code that will be included on the disc.

Bonus features are being kept simple with deleted scenes, Spotlight on Location and BD-Live access.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $26.98 which should bring Amazon.com pricing in under $20. Check back regularly for that pre-order link and high resolution cover art.
